“Be the Bridge” in the Holy Land

17 April 2013

The Jerusalem event is a follow-up to the Genfest 2012, in Budapest, where 12,000 young people from all over the world gathered.

Why Jerusalem?

«What we really want –wrote The Youth for a United World – is to witness everywhere universal brotherhood, and immediately we thought of Jerusalem, a city of contrasts and divisions, and at the same time the cradle of a millenary culture, a weave of peoples and religions, called since its foundation to fulfil a project of peace».

The year of the Genfest was inaugurated on the 1st May 2012 with the motto “Let’s Bridge”. It was a year of dedicated to building bridges everywhere, in every corner of the globe.

This year, the 1st May 2013 in Jerusalem aims to be an important step in history, a significant moment in the realization of the worldwide project launched at the Genfest 2012:  the “United World Project”.

What’s the goal of this trip?

To build bridges of peace and reciprocity, by practising the “Golden Rule” (Do unto others what you want them to do to you… Do not do unto others what you do not want them to do to you).

Dates:  Arrival in Jerusalem on the 24th April and departure on the 2nd of May
