- What is the Genfest?
The Genfest is an interntional gathering of young people who believe in the same ideal – that we must work together, embracing unity in our diversity, to create a better, more empathetic world. It is a manifestation that despite our differences in religion, race, or cultural background, we are more alike than we are different.
- Where and when is the Genfest?
The Genfest will be held on 6-7-8 July 2018 at the World Trade Center in Manila, Philippines.
- Until when can I register?
Registration is open until April 30, 2018 or until all slots are filled.
- Who is allowed to register?
The Genfest is open to all young people from ages 18 to 34 who wish to contribute to a better, more united world, regardless of race, gender, religion, or background. Adults beyond the age range are welcome to be group leaders or event volunteers.
- Will there be any costs to attend the activity? Who will shoulder my expenses?
Yes, to attend the Genfest, there is a minimal contribution. Kindly contact the representatives of your zones to know more about the contribution, or send an email to iscrizione.genfest@focolare.org.
- What does this payment include?
Depending on the package that you will avail, the event fee may include: (a) a participation fee for the 3 day-event; (b) the official Genfest 2018 participation kit; (c) meals from dinner of July 6 to lunch of July 8; (d) lodging, and (e) transportation to and from Genfest venues.
- What should I bring?
The main event will happen in the World Trade Center, but we will also be going other places. We will provide all your basic needs with the official Genfest 2018 Participant’s Kit. Please check back on this page for a list of prohibited items in our venues.
- Do I need a VISA to go to the Philippines?
